WHAT IS A BASS TUB?
Each Bass Tub holds four to five thousand gallons of water, totally visible from both sides. It takes up to four hours to fill, depending on the number of hoses used and water pressure. Water can be made fish-quality quite easily, as the tubs carry the necessary chemicals.
The Bass Tub should be positioned in the heart of your event as it is definitely an eye catcher when filled with various types of fish. It requires a space approximately fifty feet in length by ten feet in width with a ceiling clearance (for casting) of twenty to twendy-five feet. The parking area should be as level as possible and have sturdy footing due to the tremendous weight when filled. Ideally, a viewing area of at least fifteen feet (twenty is better) on each side of the tank should be allowed. Entry and egress doors must be at least nine feet wide by ten feet in height, and the allowable turning radius is forty feet plus the vehicle. Access twenty-four hours prior to opening time is generally required to fill and stock. Due to the size the tub requires early placement.
The tub requires a twency-amp, 110-volt service using standard double outlets. This operates the pumps, filtering system, and the public address system.
If a water chiller is to be used in temperatures over 80º , 220 volt with 25 amp service is required which must remain on for the duration of time fish are in the tub.
Your Bass Tub Professional will make an approximate thirty minute presentation every two hours for the duration of the show, which includes casting demonstrations, how lures work in the water, techniques on catching various fish, and other pertinent facts.
We want to entertain your customers by catching fish ... but even more, we want them to get excited about catching more fish themselves. We are interested in people who fish often as well as those who don’t fish or those who only fish once a year. By sharing information, teaching the basics, and showing presentations, Bass Tubs can create a buying atmosphere for your business or your exhibitors.
The Bass Tub is not just a tub full of fish, it is a tool for you to use to bring people to your show, your store, your fair, your tournament, your dealership, and so on.
